Mellbour is dedicated to making your delivery experience smooth and hassle-free. Our expert delivery team operates throughout the UK, ensuring your new beds & furniture arrives promptly and safely. Below, you’ll find all the essential details about our delivery process, options, and what to expect when ordering with us.

Delivery Timeline and Scheduling

Delivery times may vary depending on the product, and estimated timeframes are clearly shown on each product page. In most cases, orders are delivered within 7–10 working days.

For certain items or remote delivery locations, delivery may take up to 2-3 weeks. We’ll always keep you informed and aim to deliver as soon as possible.

Once your order is ready, our Delivery Team will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date and a convenient 4-hour time window—available 7 days a week.

Delivery Options

We offer flexible delivery services to suit your needs. All options will be clearly presented at checkout for your convenience.

Standard Delivery – Free
Enjoy complimentary doorstep delivery on all orders. This is our default delivery option and requires no additional cost.

Room of Choice – £39
Prefer your furniture delivered directly to a specific room? For an added fee of £39, our team will carefully carry your items to the room of your choice.

Assembly Service – £99
Let us take care of the heavy lifting. For £99, we’ll deliver your furniture to the room of your choice, assemble the items, and remove all packaging—leaving your space clean and ready to enjoy.

Preparing for Your Delivery

To ensure a smooth delivery, please verify that items you ordered will fit through all access points in your home, including doors, staircases, and hallways. All dimensions of each of our product are available in the product description. Make sure the delivery area is clear of obstructions like other furniture, personal belongings, and fragile items. If the delivery team cannot safely deliver your furniture to the intended room, we can leave it in a convenient place or take it back with applicable fees.

Access, Parking, and Permits

If parking permits are required for your area, please arrange these in advance to ensure our delivery team can park without delay. Adequate parking for large vans is essential, and customers are responsible for any fines due to misinformed or inadequate parking arrangements. Failure to meet these requirements may result in a failed delivery fee of £100.

Failed Deliveries and Redelivery Fees

It’s crucial to ensure someone is present at the delivery address to sign for the items. Should the delivery fail due to absence, restricted access, or insufficient preparations, a redelivery fee of £60 will apply. In cases where access issues prevent successful delivery, a failed delivery charge of £100 will be deducted from your refund.

Quality Checks and Receiving Your Order

Every Mellbour product undergoes rigorous quality checks before dispatch. Upon delivery, our team will unpack and assemble your items, allowing you to inspect them thoroughly. Please check your items for any damage or discrepancies while our team is on-site. If there are any issues, you can refuse the item, and our customer service team will promptly assist you with an exchange, alternative, or full refund.

Returns and Damages

If you decide to return your item at the time of delivery, a return fee of £100 will be deducted from your refund. In the rare event of visible damage, please refuse the item on delivery, and our customer service team will offer you the choice of a replacement, alternative, or a full refund.

Steps to Ensure a Smooth Delivery

Prepare Your Space:
Ensure that our two-person delivery and assembly team have a clear, unobstructed path from their van to the designated room. Adequate space is essential for safe and efficient furniture transfer, so please remove any items that might block their way.

Provide Accurate Directions:
If your property is hard to locate via satnav or Google Maps, please provide detailed directions when placing your order. Double-check your order confirmation to ensure your contact details are correct, including a phone number for yourself or the person receiving the delivery.

Check Parking and Access:
Confirm that there is sufficient parking for a large delivery van and that there are no restrictions during the delivery window. If special permits are needed or loading/unloading times are limited, arrange these in advance to avoid any delays or additional costs due to fines or local regulations.

Measure Access Points:
Use a tape measure to check that doorways, hallways, staircases, and other access points are wide enough for your new furniture. Ensure there’s enough room to navigate corners or tight spaces, especially if furniture must be turned or lifted around obstacles.

Assess Elevator Dimensions:
If an elevator is needed, measure its interior dimensions to ensure it can accommodate your items. The elevator should be spacious enough to fit the furniture’s height, width, and depth comfortably when in use.

Clear Potential Obstacles:
Before delivery, remove any hazards or obstacles such as doors, light fixtures, shelves, rugs, or other furniture along the delivery path. This preparation ensures a safe and swift installation, as our team is unable to move or dismantle existing items in your home.

Protect Your Floors and Valuables:
Place protective coverings on your floors to safeguard them from dirt or damage during the delivery process. Move any decorative items, artwork, or valuables out of the way to prevent accidental damage.

Keep Children and Pets Safe:
To ensure a smooth and safe delivery, keep children and pets in a separate area during the delivery and assembly process. This helps our team focus on their work without interruptions.

Handling Packaging and Old Furniture:
Our delivery team will remove and dispose of all packaging, leaving your space tidy and ready to enjoy. However, they cannot take away old furniture. Please arrange collection of any unwanted items through your local council or charity ahead of time.
